घटनास्थलमा पुगेका इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय गढवाका प्रहरीका अनुसार गएराती करिव साढे 8 बजेको समयमा घरमा खाना खाने बेला भएको थियो । कान्छी बुहारी बसन्ताका श्रीमान सञ्जय योगी कुँवर कुखराको दाना किन्न भन्दै बजार गएका थिए । बसन्ता आफ्नी एक मात्र सन्तान 7 बर्षीया छोरी र जेठाजुका 7 बर्षका छोरा समेतलाई खान खुवाउँदै थिइन् ।
बसन्ताकी जेठानीको नाम पनि बसन्ता नै हो । बेग्लै घरमा जेठानी बसन्ता र उनका छोराछोरी बस्ने गरेका थिए । जेठानीका एक छोरी र एक छोरा छन् । तीमध्ये 9 बर्षीय नातीसँगवृद्धले सधैँ सँगै सुताउँदै आएका थिए । तर, गत 4-5 दिन यता हजुरबुबासँग सुत्न जान उनी पटक्कै मान्न छाडेका थिए ।
6 महिनाअघि ती वृद्धकी श्रीमती अर्थात ति बालककी हजुरआमाको निधन भएपछि हजुरबुबाले उनकै आमाले पकाएको खाना खाँदै आएका थिए । त्यसदिन पनि खाना खाएर नातीलाई सुत्नका लागि बोलाउन पठाए । हिजो राती पनि सँगै सुत्न नमानेपछि कान्छी आमाको घरमा लुक्न गएका नातीलाई मलाई नातीसँग सुत्न जान रोक्ने यहि हो भन्दै चक्कु लिएर घरभित्र पसे ।
खाना खाँदै गरेको अवस्थामा पहिला बसन्ताको पेटमा निर्मम ढङ्गले प्रहार गरि ढलाए गुहार मागेपछि जेठानी दिदी जोगाउन घरमा आएर हेर्दा देउरानी बसन्ता चिच्चाउँदै थिइन् । बचाउन खोज्ने क्रममा जेठी बुहारी माथि पनि जाइलाग्न थाले ।
बसन्तालाई फेरी ढाड शरीरका अन्य अ ङ्गमा पनि प्र हार गर्न नछाडेपछि आफू र दुवैतर्फका तीन सन्तानको समेत ज्यान जाने डरले जेठी बुहारीले बच्चाहरु जेगाउँदै त्यहाँबाट भागेर बचिन् ।
नाती सुत्न आउन नमानेको दोस्रो दिन अर्थात तिन दिनअघि पनि जेठी बुहारीलाई समेत च क्कु हा न्ने प्रयास गरेको प्रहरी निरीक्षक राठौरले बताए । त्यसअघि आफ्ना छोराहरुलाई समेत च क्कु हा नेको र थप कुरा अनुसन्धानबाट खुल्ने प्रहरी निरीक्षक राठौरको भनाइ छ ।
हजुरबुबासँग सधैँ सँगै सुत्ने नाती केहिदिन यता हजुरबुबाले सिरानीमा च क्कु राख्दै आएको देखेर हो वा अन्य कारणले केहि दिन यता नाती हजुरबुबासँग सुत्न जान किन मान्न छाडे ? भन्ने बिषयमा प्रहरीले अनुसन्धान भइरहेको जनाएको छ ।
यता जेठी बुहारीले भने ससुराको नियत राम्रो नभएको बताएकी छन् । बेला बेला नराम्रो नजरले हेर्ने गरेको पनि उनले बताएकी छन् ।
