Honda shows 5th Generation City 2020, better mileage with a great look


Honda has unveiled its Fifth Generation City. According to the company, it will give better mileage than previous models. The company says it is bigger than the current model. However, when the company will launch this car, it has not announced.

It is believed that this car can be launched in the second half of 2020 in the Indian market. The fifth-generation Honda City model resembles the company's Accord and Civic. The new Honda City coming to the Indian market will have BS6 compliant 1.5-liter iDTEC diesel and 1.5-liter petrol engine.

Talking about the look, the front look of the new Honda City looks absolutely fresh. The car gets a bigger and wider chrome grille, daytime running lights (DRL) with revised wraparound LED headlamps and redesigned fog lamps.
The Thailand model of the next-generation Honda City will get two engine options. These include a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder iVTEC turbocharged petrol engine that generates 122bhp of power and 173Nm of torque. This engine is equipped with CVT gearbox.

The company has claimed that this engine gives a mileage of 23.8 kilometers per liter (according to Thailand test). The second is a 1.5-liter hybrid petrol engine. The company claims that this mild-hybrid engine will give 33 percent more mileage than the standard engine.
The design of the bonnet of the car has been changed. The rear of the car has a redesigned rear bumper with LED taillamps in C-shape and reflectors mounted in vertical positions. This luxurious sedan car features multi spoke diamond cut alloy wheels.

For safety, the car has features such as 6 airbags, multi-angle rear view camera, ABS, EBD, vehicle stability control and hill start assist.
The car features a newly designed dashboard and features such as a newly designed multi functional steering wheel with mounted audio, Bluetooth and cruise control from the new Jazz.

The car has a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The interior of the model offered in Thailand is in black color.
