Gautam Buddha International Airport. Ready to add 3 months extension again

The Gautam Buddhist Airport Improvement Project's office has sent a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority on Thursday demanding additional time for construction of the Gautam Buddha International Airport.

The construction company, North West Civil Aviation Company, had given a letter to the project office demanding an extension (extra time) 10 days before the construction time could not be completed by December 31.

According to the project head of Gautam Buddha International Airport, Prabesh Adhikari said that the construction company is expected to complete all the construction work within 3 months (March 2020) based on the works completed till now and after the completion of the letter. The deadline will now be for the last time, the official said.

There was no option to extend the deadline after the timely construction, but now there is no other problem like construction materials, financial problems and the construction company is working faster than ever. Currently 86 percent of the work on physical infrastructure has been completed, he said.

In addition to this, three times have been added after the work has not been completed in the specified time. The first time was extended from January 18 to June 15 of 2018, the second time from June 15 to June 28 (2019), the third time from June 28 to December 31 of 2019.
