Five people have been killed in a shootout between two countries in the border region of India and Pakistan. The dead include three Indians and two Pakistani soldiers. Pakistani troops have reported that the soldiers were killed in a 36-hour clash in the Haji Pir area of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistani Army spokesman Ashif Ghafoor informed via Twitter that there was a conflict between the two Line of Control (LoC). The Pakistani military said three Indian soldiers, including a subedar, were killed in the area and one post of Indian soldier was destroyed.
It is said that some soldiers were injured in the clash. A Pakistani soldier and a young man have been killed. Pakistani soldiers were killed in a clash in Deva area. The Indian Army has not responded to the clash.
