The team of Nepal Police has arrived at his ashram in Sindhuli on Friday morning to arrest Ram Bahadur Bamjan, who is in the form of ascetic.
Bomjan, who was accused of murder, violence, rape and disappearance of the accused, has not been found by police since six o'clock in the morning. Police sources said that the main house where he was staying in the ashram was locked.
According to police sources, permission was given from Sindhuli district court to arrest Bamjan on Thursday.
They have gone missing from the ashram of Rita Vote of Sarlahi, Karma Tamang of Nuwakot and Fulmaya Rumba Bamjan of Makwanpur. Likewise, two followers of Bamjan, Suresh Alemgar of Bara and Sanchaman Waiba of Makwanpur are also missing from his ashram in Sindhuli.
Eyewitnesses say that Waiba was beaten to death at his ashram in Sindhupalchowk on the orders of Bamjan. Eyewitnesses also said that Alamgar was seen in the ashram in a bloody state. Since then he has gone missing.
Similarly, Bamjan is alleged to have raped the newcomer and Gangamaya Tamang, who lives in his ashram. Gangamaya had accused Bamjan of raping her at a press conference in Kathmandu a year and a half ago. Now Gangamaya lives in Kathmandu, an organization that works for the benefit of children.
Setpatti, after a three-month-long investigation, prepared a list of Bumtan artefacts on May 11 last year and published four stories simultaneously.
After the story was published, the families of the five men and followers of the disappeared and murdered from various ashram of Bamjan had submitted to the police.
Then the Nepal Police launched an investigation. The police continued to investigate for a few months but the work was slowed down.
Two months ago, the Inspector General of Police Sarvendra Khanal had introduced a special team under his own control and the investigation was speeded up two months ago.
On the basis of the scrutiny of this investigation, the police have sought permission from the District Court, Sindhuli to arrest the bomber. After his arrest, the police will investigate him further and only then will he decide on which charges he will bring a case against him in court.
